My artwork is featured on the cover of Britain's Total TV Guide this holiday season!  It was so fun to paint a traditional holiday scene at this time of year.  The project really put me in the Christmas spirit!

A World Of Pausabilities

Fun mail today!  My new book through Magination Press, "A World of Pausabilities", came today!  It is a great book by Frank Sileo about slowing down, reflecting, and being in the moment....something that I need to be reminded of myself.  This title will be available in February 2017. 

2016 Moonbeam Awards

Thanks go out to Moonbeam Children's Book Awards for awarding "Big Red and the Little Bitty Wolf" a silver medal for the Picture Book Age 4-8 category!  The author Jeanie Franz Ransom and I are so excited for this recognition!  Thanks also go out to the publisher Magination Press for having me as a part of this great book project!

Give Please a Chance!

I am excited to announce that my artwork, along with several other illustrators from MB Artists, will be featured in Bill O'Reilly and James Patterson's new book "Give Please a Chance."  My illustration is the one shown here at the bottom, with the girl and the trampoline.  This title will be released on November 21st.

Clubhouse Jr.

Exciting mail day!  I got my copies of the latest Clubhouse Jr. Magazine, in which my art is on the cover and illustrating one of the stories "Bugged and Blue"  This was my first opportunity working with Clubhouse Jr, and it was great!  I loved the story.  It is about a girl whose family makes a special trip to an amusement park....but it rains!  After I finished illustrating this story, I took my own kids to an outdoor museum park....but it rained!  This story came to mind, and we decided to have fun at the park anyway, and it turned out to be extra fun.  I hope you enjoy this issue just as much as I did.

Tire Swing

My newest portfolio piece for my agent's upcoming catalog, themed "Landscape".  I wanted to do a nice quiet scene with a gentle color palette.  I would love to have a picnic and enjoy a book under that tree!

Babybug Magazine

My toddler loves "Babybug" magazine.  She's a wiggler, and this is one of the few books/publications that she will actually sit through.  So I am extra excited to have my art in the new May/June issue!

WTHR Interview

Thanks go out to the Children's Museum and WTHR for having me on the news this morning to talk a little bit about creating the artwork for the Museum's "Pirates and Princesses" exhibit!  If you weren't up bright and early to catch the segment live, you can view the video here on WTHR's website.  My family visited the exhibit over the weekend, and had so much fun!  I hope everyone in the Indianapolis area is able to come and experience this storybook world, which features iconic movie props, a castle and a pirate ship to explore, an interactive dragon-fighting video game and dress-up pretend stations for the kids!

SCBWI Bologna Book Fair

I just got the exciting news that my piece "Rainy Day Friends" has been shortlisted for the SCBWI Bologna Book Fair 2016 Illustrator Showcase!  Thank you so much to the SCBWI judges! 

Pirates and Princess Exhibit preview

What an exciting day!  The Children's Museum of Indianapolis invited me to be part of a news segment to promote the new Pirates and Princesses exhibit opening this weekend.  It was amazing to see the exhibit.  Here is a clip from the newscast, as well as some photos from the exhibit. 

Pirates and Princesses

 These past few months, I have had the opportunity to create the artwork for the Children's Museum of Indianapolis's upcoming "Pirates and Princesses" exhibit, which will be opening next week on January 30th!  This exhibit will be a walk through famous stories of royals and rebels.  Children can play in a castle, a pirate ship, dress up in costume, experience an interactive digital piece, and more!  I hope you can join us on opening day!
