Clubhouse Jr. Christmas

I was able to get into the Christmas spirit a little early this year while illustrating "Making Room For Jesus", appearing in this month's Clubhouse Jr. Magazine.

Becoming Brave

It was a joy to work on this "out of this world" artwork for "Clubhouse Jr. Magazine", and an honor to be featured on their cover again!

Bugs Don't Bug Her

For our latest MB Artists Catalog, the theme was "Quirks and Encounters."  Nothing is more quirky than my 6 year old daughter and her obsession with bugs, particularly cicadas.  She collected over 200 exoskeletons last year, wrote a song about cicadas for the piano, and brought a dead cicada with accompanying exoskeleton into her class for show and tell (She named him "Ribbit."). She plays with crickets, holds praying mantises and wants a tarantula at her next birthday party.  I hope this quirky little girl is always unabashedly and bravely herself!

Sea Turtles and Outer Space

I loved working on this art for Scholastic.  It accompanies a story about a young girl who is passionate about saving sea turtles, but who feels that she can't live up to the amazing things that her scientist/astronaut mother has done. It is an empowering story about following your passions and encourages girls to see themselves in careers in STEM.  I am so happy to have been able to illustrate this story and contribute to this positive message!
