“Something Happened in Our Town" is now #10 on the New York Times Children's Picture Book Bestseller List and #1 on the Indie Bound Children's Illustrated Bestsellers! The book also hit all of the regional independent association bestseller lists, with the exception of New England and Northern California. What amazing news!

I am excited to announce that my newest title "Something Happened In Our Town: A Child's Story About Racial Injustice" will be released next week by Magination Press.  I hope that as children are asking questions about current events across the country, that this book's ultimate message of reaching out to our neighbors in friendship inspires children to be a light in the world.

Exciting news!  "All My Stripes" has been translated into Danish!  I just got my copies today.  It is so awesome seeing the book released overseas and in other languages!

Great news today! "A World of Pausabilities" (Magination Press) has received a gold medal from the Mom's Choice Awards! Thanks so much for this recognition! 

"A World of Pausabilities" Released!

 Exciting news today!  My newest picture book, "A World of Pausabilities" by Frank Sileo, is now available.  It has great ideas for both kids and adults to slow down, relax and just be in the moment.  As I was illustrating this book, I realized that there were two different types of pauses - ones in which we tune out the world and look inward, and ones in which we feel our smallness and embrace that we are just a part of a wide wide world.  So, for this book, my art shifts between quiet vignettes and large nature scenes.  From picking apples off of a tree to puddle jumping to chasing fireflies, "A World of Pausabilities" takes the reader through a late summer day, from sun up to sun down, with families enjoying themselves, each other and the world around them.....through rain or shine! I hope you enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed illustrating it!

A World Of Pausabilities

Fun mail today!  My new book through Magination Press, "A World of Pausabilities", came today!  It is a great book by Frank Sileo about slowing down, reflecting, and being in the moment....something that I need to be reminded of myself.  This title will be available in February 2017. 

2016 Moonbeam Awards

Thanks go out to Moonbeam Children's Book Awards for awarding "Big Red and the Little Bitty Wolf" a silver medal for the Picture Book Age 4-8 category!  The author Jeanie Franz Ransom and I are so excited for this recognition!  Thanks also go out to the publisher Magination Press for having me as a part of this great book project!

Give Please a Chance!

I am excited to announce that my artwork, along with several other illustrators from MB Artists, will be featured in Bill O'Reilly and James Patterson's new book "Give Please a Chance."  My illustration is the one shown here at the bottom, with the girl and the trampoline.  This title will be released on November 21st.
