A little web graphic novel page about my daughter Elyse, who loves all things beautiful, feminine....and bugs.  She has always especially loved cicadas, collects their exoskeletons, researches them.  This is a real scene of what she did for her preschool show and tell!  It is one of my favorite stories about her.

 10 years ago I drew a portrait of Marissa and Ben for their wedding invitation.  For their 10th anniversary, They asked me to do a new illustrated portrait to show how their family has grown.  Now their puppy is a fully grown fluffy ball of fun, and they have two adorable children fully of sass and silliness.  Congratulations, Ben and Missy!

I have been wanting to do a Venice inspired piece for a while.  I was able to visit Venice back in college, and it was such a beautiful, inspirational place.  The sort of place that feels like it made of history, culture, genius and magic.

I love "box opening" and getting to finally see a book come together in print!  "Unwrapping the Names of Jesus for Kids" is an Advent book published by Moody Publishers. It follows as little girl as she witnesses small moments and iconic events in the life of Jesus.  This art was very special for me, and for those of you celebrating Advent this Christmas season, I hope you enjoy this book as well!
